This shared memory would use your system RAM, which is a whole lot slower than actual dedicate VRAM, so yes, you could use more than 2GB, but you get better performance if you limit VRAM-usage to 2GB or under.

I'll try to keep this short. My GPU has 2048 MB of dedicated video memory and 3500 MB of shared memory.

Does this mean that I can use around 5000 MB of VRAM in a game? (I want to play PUBG mainly)

can you provide where you saw that information ?

I have never known a Dedicated GPU have shared memory.

Usually Shared Memory is related to Integrated on board graphics.

Well with PUBG, I don't think it's possible.

Also, is there a way to get more shared memory?

VRAM is mostly eaten up by textures and shadow-maps -- keep those low and that should already help. You can monitor the VRAM-usage with e.g. MSI Afterburner. Also, why the hell would you want even more shared memory?

For the best performance you should only use the Vram on the card.  Think of the system ram as 'don't crash the whole game'  back up ram.  The speed difference is pretty high.
