Hi. Does anyone know if it's possible to put Chrome OS on a desktop PC? Google don't really hand the OS out as they only install it on partner machines, and only notebooks/laptops so far (although I think LG have just released a desktop version). Installing the OS is not an issue, but it's drivers that I'm worried about, for the video, sound and WiFi dongle.

The PC is a small one I have in the bedroom that I use for watching films and browsing in bed, so don't want to spend money upgrading. I've got Ubuntu on it atm, but I've heard Chrome OS can be rapid on crappy hardware so I'd like to look into it if possible.

Anyone heard of this happening?

Thanks.

Chromium OS is a thing, if you can find a system image. Look for torrents and other sources. And to anyone who believes torrenting is illegal, it's perfectly legal.  It's the content that matters, not the way of obtaining it.
