Integrated graphics upgrade?!

Can I use a normal graphics card with an APU? 

 

My pc is using an AMD A8 with integrated graphics and I want to upgrade to a proper graphics card, unsure if It can be done!

I'm in the UK, budget around £200/250 for GPU upgrade whilst I plan my first proper build. Will add more RAM and a new graphics cards processor is good for now

Then either grab the cheapest 1050ti and toss it into your system

 

or get a CPU and GPU upgrade with a Ryzen APU, if you need a stronger CPU the choice is easy

Wow, thanks man. I have a AMD A10-8750 atm which I think is good enough for mid range graphics card if I add another 8GB of ram

That CPU is pretty weak but should be alright

Adding more RAM won't help with anything CPU wise

You'll still get over 45fps in modern AAA games, older games will be fine at 60fps
