Plz help my cpu is flatlining

So I have an Intel I7-7700k on a Corsair aio, and it is overclocked to 5.3 ghz with a max power of 1.6 volts, and a cache ratio of 5.4 ghz. Every time I run a CPU stress test with Intel XTU, the utilization and heat goes up, but the speed stays at a contant 3.6 ghz. why is that? It is not thermal throttling.

Thanks.

Puffy

What are you doing at 1.6v? Trying to kill it?

Surely to god you aren't actually trying to apply those settings, right? 1.6v could probably kill a chip on bootup if you're really unlucky. Stop right where you are sir, please lower that voltage lmao. I wouldn't go over 1.4v unless your chip is delidded anyways.

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.
