I was wondering that how well can my gaming laptop perform 

specs

i5 7300hq 

gtx 1050 ti

16gb ram

u should be able to run ark survival evolved so ya it should run fine... i got a gtx 1050 its great.. 120fps ark rust 90fps if ur gonna be playing games..

Medium to high settings in very new or very demanding games.  Ultra settings in games that are a few years old like Fallout 4.  This is using 1080p resolution.

You are not getting 120fps in ark without making the game look like trash.

ARK does not get 100 FPS on medium at 1080P.  If you are using command line options you are running below the low setting.

With the medium preset, I'm seeing 30-40 is a fresh server on my 1050 Ti laptop.

 

If I use command line options, the whole game looks horrid and I get 60+.

doesnt look terrible at all..

Yep, you are not on medium settings guy.  Most of the in-game settings are totally disabled when you do that.  So you are effectively on sub-low settings.

 

And yeah, it looks bad.  Shadows look PS2 bad and Lighting looks N64 bad.

ahh... doesnt look bad tho.... what command makes the textures on low?

Texture settings are about the only thing unaffected.  Post process is disabled, distant shadows are disabled making trees full-bright in the distance, grass/clutter is disabled, atmospheric shaders are disabled, and so on.

But it's still a lie that you're getting high FPS on a 1050Ti on medium detail settings. It's medium if you set it to medium and don't use launch options at all

Solid 1080p gaming laptop. You're not gonna have any trouble playing most games.
