what should i do? ignoring the cost factor?

should i buy 2 gtx1060 and run them in SLI or one 1070

1060 don't have SLI fingers and can't be run in SLI.

SLI isnt supported with the 1060, because they know its gonna be more powerful than a single 1080 maybe even the same as a 1080ti

Even if you could run them in SLI, the typical consensus is go with the best single card you can afford unless you already have one of the cards for SLI.

Given that a lot of games have issues with SLI optimization, the answer would never be SLI even if the 1060 would allow SLI, which it doesn’t
