used 970 or new GTX1050 or the GT1030 or better yet build around Ryzen 2400G cpu

Look at your local online classifieds, like Kijiji or the other one no one uses Craigslist or go to your locally owned pc building/repair store and see what they have.

I've seen some incredibly good deals for GPUs on my local Craigslist listings, I wouldn't be so quick to rule it out.

@JJPFD: The lowest power GPU you can buy for gaming in this day and age is a GTX 750Ti. Anything below that is out.

but the 4gb and 1670 MHz is a bit misleading.

That's the thing with "low end cards" (any GPU where the last two digit are under 50 is usually low end), they often have lots of VRAM to mislead people who are unaware.... But that VRAM is mostly to allow multiple displays at a high res, for office work and such. Not for gaming. (Not saying they are trash for gaming, but they aren't the best value in performance/per dollar)

At this point in time I would reccomend not buying anything under a 1060 because the APU's exist.Chances are that if you have a 1060 you'll still be at 1080p and getting a 2400g and something like a 1070 or 1080 in the future is a much better investment

My life

Let me rephrase: the lowest tier GPU for gaming to buy in this day and age is a 750Ti. Anything below that is out of the question.

I've been looking around and I found this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA23X62G7539

It seems insanely good for the price, I've never heard of this brand but a GT 730 clocked at 1670 MHz!?!?! Is that even possible?

You can look for used GPUs, they deliver more performance on the same price, but it can be tricky. If you want warranty and 100% safety, go with new gen GPUs. If you can find gt 1030 for $70-80 go for it. But don't buy GT 730.

Also this model is ddr3, which is so slow that even my hd 630 in my pentium g4600 can outperform it, no joke. The bare minimum to new GPUs are gt 1030.
