LGA 1155 DDR3 Motherboard

Obviously an older type of board and not the latest type of ram, but does anyone know of any LGA1155 boards with DDR3 ram compatibility for under $100?

All LGA 1155 boards have DDR3 compatibility, that's all there was at the time.

You won't find any new ones, and the used ones will likely cost you a fair bit.

In terms of actual boards, I had a friend that spoke very highly of his Gigabyt Z77X-UP7 TH but that board will likely cost you upwards of 100.

Why is that?  I've been trying to find a decently price LGA1155 board myself, but they're almost the cost of a computer with the same motherboard.

Depends on what class of board you are going after.  You can get mid-range Z77 boards for ~$100.

You just need to dig around on your favorite auction site.

I don't fully know the reason, but I would guess it's because it's still not fully outdated. I have a friend that's been using his 3770K since it was new and it works just fine for him.

Which is absolutely ridiculous.  New boards shouldn't cost the same as very old used boards.  I got an i5-2400 for $20 ($174MSRP), but a standard H77 board costs me at least $50.
