I wanted to spend no more than $500 for the GPU but it its going to cost just a little bit more I don't mind.

Budget for the overall system. Everything, including peripherals and display. its best to do it all at once.

The PC alone $2,500 - $2,800

I think the monitor will have to wait a few months

Probably use my current monitor until then.

You can get a monitor for that price range. Its quite high, just for gaming?

Note I am in Canada. Stuffs are just crazy expensive.
So what do you think... Should I buy now or wait?

I am in a similar situation, and I will wait for new GPU's But I am already in the mindset of expending 1000 usd on a GPU *sigh*. But I am doing it for the sake of a more lasting PC.

Any of you know when the new series of Nvidia cards are coming out?

I am finding out it should be this summer the GTX 2080 it would be called?

I don't mind building the PC without the GPU until the new GPUs rolls out.
Do not want to pay overpriced GPU!
