No install needed if you choose the Portable version, which can also boot with Windows as well.

 

I've been using this software for the past 2 years now.

It lets me adjust the color temperature and the brightness levels on both my Windows Tablet and Desktop PC.

It's the only way for me to actually be able to control the brightness on my Tablet(other than low, medium or high preset in Windows 10, there's no Brightness slider anymore and low is still quite high when using it late night) and lets me quickly/easily change the brightness on my PC, especially for night time, without having to fiddle with the buttons on my monitor.

 

When you first open it, there should be a big button at the bottom of the app that ask you to Extend Color Range, clicking that and rebooting, will let you manipulate both the brightness and color temperature of your monitor once you're back into Windows and have the application open.
