There's no reason to upgrade your CPU to Coffee Lake, just save your money.

what's your display resolution/refresh rate and what do you need your PC for?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

well the other reason i am upgrading is because the computer i am using now is going to be a present for my daughter on her birthday. i am using a samsung 4k monitor 60hrz and it gonna be used for gaming and some video editing and rendering

Then you really don't need to spend extra money on coffee lake

Wait until April 19th for Ryzen 2, probably just upgrade to the 6 or 8 core Ryzen 2 chip around $200-$300, with a new X470 motherboard, probably from gigabyte as they have real VRM heatsinks. Or keep your current motherboard and update the BIOS for Ryzen 2, and buy her a cheap ASrock Pro4 $75 afterwards to stick your old 6 core into.

I have been a amd user for a long time and want away intel has better single core performance which makes for better gaming experience and the have better ipc.

You're gaming at 4k 60hz, it almost doesn't matter what CPU you use like the R3 1200 or i3 8100 is fine for 60hz gaming, you're better off saving some money with the Ryzen 5 2600 6c/12t CPU, or getting the 8 core which is maybe better for video editing potentially...Plus there's no worrying about delidding the CPU for better temps.

If you're stuck on Coffee Lake then ya get an i7 8700K, or hold out for the Intel Coffee Lake 8 cores.

But you should get the Core V71 instead of the View 71 so you have better cooling.

Or some other case that actually has airflow like the H500P Mesh

Or hell with your budget it looks like you could get an X299 system or X399 system.
