I didn't even know it "used to be" popular? The current version is quite new.

I thought Osu would never be that popular because it's just so skill based (like similar games like beatmania, dance dance revolution and such)

Yep used to be quite popular with the anime crowd and those that were into rhythm games like the ones you mentioned. It definitely has died down quite a bit, just as stuff like guitar hero and rock band have.

Also some people may be really impressive but man do they make the game boring, just check out twitch and youll see what I mean.

I played it a bit over the summer and found issue that lots of the tracks followed the lead vocalist not what they should be and some jumped from different thing to different thing whenever the author of the beatmap seemed to feel like it. This was especially bad on a gorillaz song. this actually makes it far harder to play coming from other games like this and a music background. It make just be the beatmaps I downloaded but I swear I got them off the official site.

Yeah i know what the game's like, i play it.

All those problems you mentioned have nothing to do with the game itself.

Of course there's bad beatmappers. It doesn't matter if you got it from the offical site. All the content is made by players.

(I just checked the gorillaz beatmaps and with common sense i assume you picked the first one, feel good inc, and even the description says to watch out for rapid instrument swapping)

Also, "good" players don't play gorillaz songs (no difficulty), so probably also the map was made by a not good player, a new player or a generally bad beatmapper.

You just have to learn what type of songs to play, and who makes the good maps.

How in the world could the game be boring? And how exactly do they make the game boring?

Dude I was just dabbling around with some friends so of course we just downloaded the packs off the site and played a bunch of the songs we know whether they be easy hard or what ever. Also didnt matter the artists nationality etc, we were having fun. Never did a blame OSU directly and I mentioned the ones on the site as you think they would be filtered or something, especially for the packs.

How did he make it boring? If the guy isnt on twitch still id be surprised but he played the game completely stripped down like not even circles sometimes on insanely high difficulty with a wacom tablet. Some of the stuff was so hard I had issues even following where he was going.

I dont think AzerFrost was the guy (maybe he was?) but lots of his stuff seems just about as un-fun to watch.

I really have trouble understanding what you're trying to say..

First i thought you said the actual game is boring, now i think you mean the twitch streams are boring?

I can agree, yes, osu most definitely isn't the most exciting thing to watch, especially if you're new to the game.

If i understood you correctly, you didn't like the guys' stream because he was playing so hard maps? I can understand that, but seriously, it souded like you said osu itself is bad just because someone streamed playing harder maps you.

I literally have nooo clue what you said here.

What do you mean by "not even circles sometimes" and what does playing with a tablet have anything to do with this?
