Opera Browser Malware

Hello!

 

I'm using Opera v.52.0.2871.37 and I'm having a serious malware issue. It's very random, but when I click on a button in any website such as the cart in Amazon, or fullscreen in Youtube, it will open a random link. These links may include either adult-content, a news website like endagadget, or a website telling me my computer has been locked and that I need to call... what should I do?

 

I use McAfee and have already run a test but I don't really believe in 'anti-viruses.'

Go get malwarebytes, give it a run. If that doesn't help it, get adw_cleaner and you should be scot free! :D

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

I'm on a mac :)

 

I have opera on my desktop and this never happens, even with eh lates updates to the OS, drivers, and Opera itself.

ADWCleaner is the way. That thing saved my ass so many times a couple years ago. You probably got yourself some browser hijackers and some PuPs.

In a nutshell, he downloaded something dodgy and now it's screwing with his stuff.

Hi! I ran the ADW and McAfee.... ADW found nothing while McAfee found 1 thing. I had it delete that 1 thing and then I restarted my PC. And the malware is still on the PC.
