DRAM Error

Hi all,

I've been using my Z170 Asus pro mobo and Corsair 16gb DDR4 RAM since 2016 and it's been working flawlessly, I'm currently running a kabylake i5-7600k and GTX 1080ti FTW3 however a couple of days ago I couldn't get the system to post and the DRAM led lit up, now I've tried the MEMOK button but all it does is reboot the system, flashes slowly and slowly speeds up before going back to a solid colour, now I know that the MEMOK function restores the bios and I had to use a bios update for my CPU to be compatible being a different generation to what is supported with my current mobo, now has the MEMOK function taken me back to the original default bios and I need a skylake CPU to post or is it something else?? Getting worried now as I've tried everything with the RAM.

When you say you tried everything with the RAM, does that include trying one stick at a time in different slots? Also, have you tried a cold boot?

Run a memory test I think windows has one if I am not mistaken but I would suggest going to the manufactures website to see if you can download there ram test

@johnukguy yeah I've done both of those, also I can't run a memory test as I haven't got a second DDR4 system to test it in and my system won't post.
