Mhm, I feel you. Having that many games queue'd up, and it's taking up all the bandwidth.

Yep, especially as its trash internet included with rent - 10Mbits/s max down, currently maxed out at 1.2Mbytes/second according to Steam

Stressing CPU only also is stuck at 4.6.

Nvm. Thought it could be an AVX thing but it doesn't look like it.

Have you tried desktop OC utilities? Such as Intel XTU? I'm curious how it'll handle it if you set 4.8 there instead.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Yikes.

We used to sit on 22 Down and 1.2 Up, but now it's 50-55 down and we'll hit like 10-11 Up, and it's really nice especially when there's about 8 people in the house, and more than 10 devices are connected to wifi. Sometimes I wish it was 100 or better, but that's just me being greedy. I've read that Intel's SpeedStep might be a problem, and I've tried it before, but I'll try again to see if there's anything different.

I actually don't have an AVX negative offset in the mobo that I've seen so far. I was following Der8auer's OC video with the same board, Maximus IX Apex.

Time stamp is when OC started, practically using the same exact settings, just voltage is different right now.

I have not tried a Desktop OC utilities yet, I'll try it right now.

Edit : Accidental Double Post, whoops.

Well its weird ass internet. The landlord calls it an "Upgrade" Even though we used to have Xfinity with 150Mb/s down. This new one is some weird ass technology I have never seen before. The literally came in, took the modem and router out, NEVER installed any dish, and somehow I magically have WiFi with no modem or router. He owns like 20 buildings in the area and we all connect to the same system! Like half a mile away and Im still on my WiFi? WTF is this black magic voodoo nonsense?

Maybe that's why it's so weak lmao.

btw i dont have a clue on how to use this Intel XTU.

Edit : Some more info here, I'm using the High Performance plan, and Maximum processor state is still 100%. Intel's graph recognizes the x48 though.

Ya thats what I was thinking, also Intel XTU is fairly simplistic, alot like AMD's Ryzen Master, it shouldn't be too difficult. However, keep in mind that BIOS is ALWAYS more accurate so if you can get XTU working, then try applying the same settings in BIOS.

Try watching this video:

LOL! Time to start screwing with voltages!

The thing is that, I think, even if I did get XTU working, the problem is that, the BIOS problem would stand either way, would it not? Because if my processor for some reason is stuck at 4.6Ghz, then I don't know of XTU will do much.

Huh, I guess something is up with your board or CPU. I would contact Asus and Intel for further troubleshooting

Otherwise maybe try overclocking RAM, then setting CPU OC?

EDIT: Any SOC (chipset) voltage options on your MoBo?

the ram is rated 2400, but is running 2133 w/o overclocking due to the board being that way. Using an XMP profile.

@WallacEngineering I'm not sure if that's a thing on my mobo.

Try pushing the ram to 2800 with an XMP Profile, this will also enable a slight SOC overvoltage and may help you tune the CPU further

Wow man if you cant even push a simple RAM overclock then I would say that your MoBo is messed up for sure. Contact Asus, if they cant help you resolve this, then talk to them about a possible RMA

What happens if set to 46 in bios and you change it to 47 or 48 in xtu?
