RGB header

Which way do the RGB headers have to go? I'm connecting a coolermaster fan to my motherboard. It looks kinda as if it could go either way. Also, when I push it in, how will I be able to tell it's far enough? Thanks!

Do us a favour and list your actual motherboard model.

 

A lot of people seem to plug these RGB connectors into fan headers and then end up killing their motherboards, so yea don't do that.

 

That's the main thing to know anyways.

 

Here's a photo of one plugged in anyways to give you an idea of which way it goes:

Be sure to check what the header says first. If it's something like sys_fan or CPU_fan that's not an RBG header. Don't use it! It should say RGB or RGB header or something.
