[Solved :)] RX480 & Windows 10 Issues

Pretty sure that getting and using a RX480 was a bad idea in the long run, but it was a hand off.

Quick Notes:
- Yes, this has worked before.

- No I cannot revert back to a previous backup.

- Windows 10

- I can't afford a new graphics card yet.

My issue seems to be that AMD's MULTIPLE Driver Installs refuse to detect the RX 480 in my system as seen here:

Go figure.

Every single time it would display an "Error 182".

That link there just takes me to a forum post to that tells me to download the same driver over again. r/CrappyDesign anyone?

I also managed to forcefully install the .inf file for the driver (old install), yet it still cannot detect the driver.

Any help on solving this matter will be appreciated. I'd rather not downgrade to 17.9 of their drivers because it drops support for some of the games I still want to play. :?[

Thanks - Kashalll

Did you try with the Crimson drivers?

I have an old copy of the Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-17.3.3-Mar16 driver but I can't download any outdated version that I can see.

This is the folder where I had originally got the .inf file to force the card to use.

rx480 seems to support all the way to latest adrenalin. Uninstall the drivers for the card entirely and do a clean install of them.

Otherwise:

otherwise this seems to work, though the vid is... yeh :/

Well, the video certainly did help, I now have the control panel. But I'm stuck at mismatching versions of the panel and driver now.

Good point.

Have you tried using a different PCIe slot?

I only have one full size port.

Either way I solved it by completely resetting Windows && Contacting AMD Support because their driver had a bug for my windows build.
