But this isn't in tech news

OP: I guess it gives me more incentive to buy AMD, like I was planning to either way, but RX 570s are hella expensive...

Eh, I'm still considering Nvidia products, especially Intel products. RX 570 is like $200-300 CAD more expensive here.

The next round of ryzens come out in a month. And i have heard intel has another 8 core coming out around the same time.If you can wait that long gpu prices will come down a lot by then.A vega 64 was 1200 plus about a month ago,Now they are around 800 so its came down already and more to go. Nvidia is the same way still high and coming down also.

Wow , Intel is finally giving us 8 cores , only took them 10 years and AMD going balls deep into the market. Now we just need them to do the same for GPUs ...Someone has to chin check Nvidia.

Theres a 7820x 6900k 5960k but the 7820x is 2066 socket so still kinda pricey vs amd.The new 8 core if i heard right will be socket 1151 300 series. But i won't lie the next ryzens turbo to 4.2 or 4.3 if they can hit the 4.5 or faster intel will start to sweat.Amd has them in cores but intel has flat out ghz if amd can keep up on intels speeds things might get ugly for intel lol.As far as Nividia amds vega 64 in dx12 games is knocking on nividas door or kicking it right in lol.Intel got sued by amd in 09 over in europe and amd won https://www.cnet.com/news/intel-to-pay-amd-1-25-billion-in-antitrust-settlement/

Can’t wait until the Intel vs Ryzen benchmarks use the Meltdown patch which slows performance up huge in responsiveness  10% and gaming and storage bandwidth 27% !  for intel CPU’s for a fair comparison.

The final meltdown patch has finally been released 10 days ago but 95% of computers don’t have it installed yet. At least the benchmark should say if the patch has been is installed on the intel machine don’t you think ?
