So I have had my 1800x for a while now, since August 2017 and have ran it at 4.0ghz at about 1.375 or 1.3825v without any problems and never really dialed it in. Tonight I am actually working on dialing it in and right now I have it stable at 1.35v @ 4.0ghz currently with no issues... have prime95 (small ffts)running now for about 30 min with max tdie temps at 66c according to hwinfo. I have the asrock x370 taichi and running on bios 4.40 as 4.60 seems broken so I rolled it back. I have LLC (loadline callabration) set to 3 on both vcore and soc. What's the lowest voltages you guys have seen verified for an 1800x or similar ryzen chip running at 4.0ghz and be stable? Curious to see how low I can go.

I have an 1800x running at 4.1 and 1.375. if I set it lower, everything is stable except for long premier exports. I stopped messing with it at that point because that's what the primary use of the system is.

which board do you use and hows the cooling solution and temps like for you?

Man that is a nice chip i have mine at 1.375V at 3.85Ghz as that is the most i can get granted i have a chip from the first batch but still.

If you can get 1.35V and 4.0Ghz out of Ryzen that is simply a above average chip

Edit also you have a great board!

Under gaming load, I rarely spike above 60c on the processor, under Premiere rendering (30+ min encodes) I level off at 78c.  I'm using the Asus C6H with current release bios with memory running at 3600mhz.  CPU is cooled by an S36 closed loop kit, with 3 additional 120MM fans as exhaust in the case.

Honestly, hottest things are GPU's under gaming load.

I've considered adding the GPUs as well, dual 1080s dump a ton of heat.

yes they do. Its made a noticeable difference in temps in my office. Its crazy how much gets dumped out.
