Need help finding adapter

Go to solution Solved by SimplyGone,

i'm not being silly.  But have you tried turning up the volume knob?  I only say as the volume control doesn't affect the AUX input.  And you may be mistaking it for turned up

I bought a new mixamp for my PS4 so I could listen to music from my computer but the problem is my ps4 doesn't seem to want to work wit his perfectly. So what I need now seems to be a cord that would take my male 3.5 and allow me to turn that into two male 3.5s. (Not a mic and headphone two headphones!) I check amazon but could not find it so that leads me to believe it doesn't exist but if anyone knows of such thing that would really help, thanks.

Why won't it work with the mixamp you bought?

then you need a peice of hardware, like This:

That thing looks like something a pilot would use. I have this (See attachment) the problem is when I plug in my aux with a usb sound card it doesnt play the aux sound. The way I have it now I can hear the aux sound but not the ps4 sound.

This sentence doesn't make sense.  From what you've just said you have a usb sound card plugged in to the usb port on the DSS2?

What you will need to get this working is the TOS link from the PS4 plugged into the TOS port on the DSS2.  Then set up the PS4 to output through its TOS link in the options.

Then a 3.5mm stereo patch cable from the output of the usb soundcard (while it's plugged into your PC) to the AUX on the DSS2.  Then plug in your headphones to the DSS2

Look at the picture and tell me what I'm not doing that you said I need to be, I couldn't follow what your trying to say.

No the original

That's a start.  I can't tell from the picture.  Right you should have gotten an optical cable with the DSS2.  That needs to be plugged into the back of the PS4, into the only hole it will fit (the one with the little door.  It's called a TOS Link.)  Then you need to plug the other end into the DSS2.  Go into your PS4 audio settings and change the output to TOS Link (optical) and make sure you select 5.1 Dolby surround in one of the following windows (I've never done this on a PS4 before but i'm assuming it's not too dissimilar to the PS3 setup).  Then use a 3.5mm stereo patch cable (it'll have the same plug as your headphones both ends) from the PC audio out and the AUX in on the DSS2.  Plug in your headphones to the DSS2 then plug in the usb power for the DSS2 in to one of your USBs on either the PS4 or the PC.  If this doesn't work then you have a faulty device

the DSS2 should work without a USB headphone.  I don't know a lot about it but from a review i've just read you shouldn't need the secondary USB plugged in at all.  Just the one for the power.  Have you tried it without the usb splitter plugged in?

The problem is that to hear sound from my ps4 I need to use the 2 female 3.5 to usb adapter but to hear sound fomr the aux I need to plug my headpones into the dss2 directly. That's why I need a female to 2 male 3.5 adapter

can i see a picture of the buttons on the side please?

I'll make a video if this doesn't make sense but I plug the optical cable and ps4 power into my ps4. I plug my aux into my pc. I plug the usb adapter into the dss2 I hear the ps4 audio. I take out the adapter and go directly from my headset to the dss2 unit I hear the pc audio.
