First of all. I live in India so there is a limited number of options which I have listed below with their prices in INR(1USD = 65INR)

This will be a gift for my dad who currently uses a really dumb mouse for his work.

All the non gaming business mice suck here or are very expensive so I wanted to know the best value for money out of these options from a performance and durability.

He primarily uses his mouse for spreadsheets, email, word, pdfs and other finance stuff, so DPI doesn't matter but comfort and a decent design is important.

Shortlist

It is a shopping list on Amazon. The Death Adder is a little pricey and if I can get it cheaper then probably I can get him a decent mouse mat too.

Ability to turn off RGB or switch it to a non distracting colour would be good.

This is a GREAT mouse for the price.  I bought one for my girlfriend, you can customize the lighting, the sensor is great I was comparing it to a 80$ Razer Deathadder 2013 playing csgo/pubg.  It is not as heavy as some of the more expensive mice but it works like a charm for the price.

Its featured in this video if you would like to find out some more info!

Cheers

Sorry I totally answered before based off the title, if I were to choose from your list I would get the Logitech g402 mouse they usually are really comfortable in the hand and for his workflow it would probably work nicely.

cheers.

I'd say the G402, because of the additional buttons he could use.

G102 is good for small hands. G302 is out of the question with it unorthodox shape.

And I would avoid Razer mice like the plague. They are expensive, of questionable build quality, and ask you to install Synapse.

He does have moderately large hands. Ok thanks a lot. What about the Steel Series mice?

The G402 is a really nice mouse, great shape and weight to it.   Every steel series mouse I have tried tend to be very light / small feeling.  For work purposes I think he would like using the 402 imo.

What about the Thermal take one??? Also is the 402 better than the Death Adder comfort and ergonomics wise?? Thanks a lot for your reply. Also if I get the 402 will I need a soft or a hard mousemat?

The 110 and 100 are an intermediate size mouse. The 110 is in fact a direct upgrade from the 100 so you can drop the latter from consideration entirely. Although even with the 110 it is not on the same level with the G402 in terms of features and usability for general work. For instance the side buttons are slim and noisy, while for work you want something easy to hit and not make much noise. The Thermaltake one looks trashy as fuck... you can clearly see it is 100% cheap plastic construction.

As for ergonomics, it really depends on the user's hand and preference. I have a G303 which is the exact shape as the G302, and can confirm its shape is uncomfortable for work. The G402 would be far better with its elongated body and gradual arch. The G102 shape is modelled after those typical cheap office mice, but simply made better and with gaming grade internals. I don't have any Steelseries or Thermaltake mice so I can't comment on them. And soft or hard mousemat is the user's preference. Modern mice will work fine on either type of surface.

Keep in mind none of us here happen to be a clone of your father or owns all of the mice in your list to guarantee you the best result. So he may not even like what is ostensibly the best one we pick out for his use case. My mantra for picking mice is to always try them out before buying. If it is something you physically interact with for a long time just like how you would buy a shirt or a watch. If you buying online then you must accept a degree of guesswork.

Don't forget the OP does not live in, or is buying from, North America

Ok thanks a lot. Will keep that in mind and will probably post a review once I get the G402.
