Is it possible for me to buy a wifi set up for less than $100 and reach around 1000 ft away and get a strong signal? (I'm aware that it also depends on whats in the way and other signals around) There are a few trees in the way and a small 20 x 20 building made of wood. If so whats are the best options available? I've looked into directional antennas but don't know much about brands and what works best and also seen on some specs for routers and extenders they claim to go up to 2km? Any recommendations and info on prices would be helpful.

No. Not because the AP tech doesn't exist (it does), but rather you aren't going to get that range out of any consumer client devices.

Not at that price point or ability, there are long range AP for exterior use but for 1000ft your going to have to look into getting something like a bridge unit. That will require direct line of sight however so your going to need to mount it up high.

Im running point to point ubiquity nano beam dished to connect a friends house to my local network. The dished themselves do not broadcast a wifi network as they act as a bridge like @W-L said, but you can add a switch or another AP at the remote location. The set of dished run about $200. The best speeds will come from line of sight, but you can still get reasonable speeds with some obstructions.
