All,

Just a quick question, I am spec'ing out a new laptop for work/gaming and I have a few options as far as memory goes. What I am wondering is which is best between:

  • 32 GB DD4 at 2400MHz (2x16GB)

    - or -

  • 16GB DDR4 at 2666MHz (2x 8GB)

As a use case, I am a software developer that does a lot of local development including big data processing and analysis so I reguarly use a LOT of memory and CPU on my 2012 era Alienware laptop.

P.S. I also enjoy a good round of PUBG and other games in my spare time.

32GB, the speed is only about 200Mhz faster.
