Loud bang

I was installing my new hard drive in my new (unplugd) pc and i needed to move the graphic card out of the way so i went to push the button thath holds the graphic card with my screwdriver ( and i toucht the powersupply thath i used to de-electirfied and went in with a screwdriver and i herd a loud loud bang (like a firecracker) but no smell anywere no smoke and everything seems fine visually and smelly no capacitors thath i can see are blown , psu seems ok everything seems ok , turns on normally and everything is seemingly ok so WHAT HAPPEND THATH COUSED THATH LOUD BANG ???

Gskill trident Z RGB 3000mzh
All new except Gtx 1080 founders edition

Did you mishear it? Maybe you dropped something that made a bang. Does everything still work?

No i dont belive i misheard it since i have a perfect hearing but it was loud like a small firecracker insde a metal surrounding (bang and a small metal ecko) everything seems to still work like it did when i fierd it up for the first time the bios seems the same

Static discharge maybe ? First video on youtube sounds like the thing i heard ... i think . If so did i damage anything?

The bang was probably a short between components on the motherboard. Question: why did you use a screwdriver?

Maybe shorted a capacitor causing it to discharge. Yeah, generally unsafe to poke around electronics with metal.

Nouthing thath i can see is burnt ,no smell no smoke no sparks so if i shorted or discharded a capasitor did i kill someathing ? Did i damage it ? 

 

Well i had a screwdriver in hand and i didnt think it would do anything....

If i shorted the capasitor what does thath mean is it dangerous to use the sistem ? What did i do i need details im not a pro at this

Should runing a furmark reveal where is the problem? Or how in the name of hell do i identefy the problem??

Update : did a furmark test and prime 95 and unigine and everything seems fine all the temps and everything but now it makes a high pitch noise around the top (cpu cooler , cpu mobo and power supply ) and when i went to swich off the power supply i heard static and when i turn on the powersupply my keyboard and mouse lit up for a sec and a power on button on the moatherboard so any ideas now ?

Update :disesembeld a pc and with a clouser wisual inspection nothing is wrong , let the pc cool and smelld it and no smell whatsoever just the metal and plastic smell assembeld it again and i descoverd thath the Coolermaster V8 is the sound of a high pitch so i changed it to DC in bios and now everything sounds normal 

 

SO WHAT THE HELL HAPPEND ?

Im beggining to think thath it was a capasitor discharge thath made a pop (bang) but is it safe to use a pc ? Do i need to take it to the expert tehnician to take a look at it ?

Would thath make any serious damages ?

Well it's still working, no? A discharged capacitor doesn't necessarily mean a damaged one, and a damaged capacitor doesn't mean a timebomb pc so I don't understand the grand worry. If something ends up damaged later on, well it'll happen later on but you still get to use the thing now, just don't poke around boards with metal anymore.

Well the grand worry is thath this is my firs pc bild since my previous pc maker has been cheating me (600$ for used gtx 560 a year ago ) so i am woried thath i broke someathing and since almoust all parts are new i can still excange them.

 

So what do you think should i take my pc to have it lookt at or ?

Just use it as is, it's still working. If it breaks later deal with it later. Avoid future user errors.
