Help Deciding on a Card

HiTechObsessed

Alright so here's the deal. I have a wish list on newegg and I thought I had it all planned out, but I'm starting to think maybe I should get my budget to work a 770 in instead of the 760 I had planned. And if I do a 770 I would want the Lightning :P so anyway, here's my situation:

I have an $800 US budget. I already have a new LGA-1150 MoBo and 8GB RAM, a case, cd drive and OS. It's mostly gonna be a gaming computer with some light (like paint.net) photo editing, maybe a few RAW files.

So, with $800, I need:

-LGA-1150 CPU (currently have 4670k slated)

-GPU (Have ASUS 760 picked)

-Power supply (600w, don't need any more at all)

-Wireless adapter (preferably PCI based)

-Hard drive(have selected a 120gb EVO SSD and a WD 1TB HDD)

-5.25" fan controller

If y'all can show me a build that would still be quick (no i3's please lol) but also get a 770 i would be ecstatic lol also, I would love an SSD, but one is not completely necessary at this point (but try!)

Let me know what y'all think, or if it's just worth staying at a 760. Thanks in advance!

Sorry but to make sure I don't get anything wrong.

What parts do you have right now already purchased?

Do those parts count toward the $800 budget?

Sorry, I was trying to be specific, but as I don't have a computer, this is all done through tapatalk lol

I already have the motherboard, ram, case, DVD drive, os, and fans. These DO NOT count toward the $800.

The following I still need (within the $800 budget) include an LGA-1150 CPU, a gpu, power supply, fan controller, hard drive/SSD, and a (preferably) PCI based wifi adapter.

Leaves you with $70 for a fan controller and wireless adaptor.  Get a thumb drive wireless card.

Do you really need a fan controller? if so go for a non-touch screen NZXT or lamptron

I'd suggest grabbing an after market CPU cooler when you can.

Along with an SSD but this is a great system you'll have.

With the remainder of the money ~$60.

You could buy a NZXT Sentry Model Fan Controller

and an after market cooler, like the Hyper 212 Evo

Which are both roughly $20.

@beefalo @Newbix_Cube

I think I'm gonna take beefalos build, and add the power supply from Newbix, that looks like a winner to me, and get to keep an SSD :)

I don't know how y'all did that so freaking fast. My 760 build was about $740 :(

Thanks for the help guys!

Oops you had a case already my bad! lol

If you remove the case in my build you can add an SSD and CPU cooler.
