Is this notebook suitable for my needs?

I'm interest in ASUS VivoBook 15 X510UF

I'm don't have experience in notebook choosing (I used to use desktop)

Is it suitable for doing these things (without lag)

  • Video Editing, Color Grading (Premiere Pro, After Effect, etc..)
  • Programming (I prefer fast compilation time)
  • Infographic (Adobe Illustrator)
  • ProPresenter presentation

EDIT: Or is S510UN-EH76 worth the additional cost?

Or other notebook that have better performance with similar price?

Thank you for your help.

Yup.  Not sure how you will spec the machine out as you can get an i5 or i7 and an HDD or SSD, but if you get the SSD with the I7 it will handle anything you want it to do.  The i5 will too, just slower.  I wouldn't get it without the SSD.

"Color Grading"

I wouldn't trust the ASUS VivoBook 15 X510UF with color grading.

15.6 inch (1366x768) Anti Glare display. Would pick something higher end with a panel that has been reviewed and has numbers for color accuracy.

SSD is a must. There are a lot of options out there for your use case although most are a bit more expensive.

Sounds like you need a very accurate display.  Assuming you won't be plugging in something external, that will probably limit your choices a fair bit.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

There are a couple budget nootbooks out there with color accurate screens. I would read through all the online reviews you could find looking for display performance (Low DeltaE and >90 sRGB color space). XPS 13 has somewhat inaccurate colors but is a whole class better than the Vivobook.

My reccomendation:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIACYB6P01559&cm_re=dell_xps_13_refurbished-_-1TS-000A-02JP2-_-Product

The vivobooks also have terrible batteries. Go read reviews. You're going to have to compromise <$1000 so you need to pick what matters and what doesn't.

Dont:

Spend more than $1300

Get a notebook with a 7th gen or lower processor

Get something without professional reviews.

Neither options are good, mediocre build quality and battery life. Could you provide some links of online stores in your country?

Are you color grading for fun or for a profession? If it's the latter, you're going to have to pony up a fair amount of money for a proper display.

OP appears to be on a budget. Yes if you step up to the XPS 15 4k screen or ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2018) with HDR display you get above 99% adobe RGB color gamut but I doubt if OP has a calibrator anyway so whats the point of wasting the cash for more colors if they are are shifted off slightly?

The point is that he might not really know what he needs. That's why we need to ask ;)

If he's doing professional color grading, he should have the right gear. Even the ones you listed aren't really suitable.

If he's doing it for fun, it doesn't really matter.

Best:

Lenovo Ideapad 720S 14 - 8250U, MX150 (8W) or Ryzen 2500U

Good:

Lenovo Yoga 520 - 8250U, MX130 (940MX)

Acer Swift 3 14 - 8250U, optional MX150

Lenovo Ideapad 320S 15 - 8550U, MX130 (940MX)

Acer Swift 3 15 with Ryzen 2500U

You may want to add more RAM (for 4GB models) and SSD (Windows 10 runs laggy with HDD)
