No Elite Dangerous Thread ?

Did i miss something here ? How on earth is there a subforum for what is essentially a shiny tech demo, yet there is no love for actual space games, that are, you know, actually playable ?

If a star citizen subforum is popular on here, im pretty sure an Elite Dangerous subforum would be a great addition to LTTF

Just a thought

I somewhat agree. I never really got into the game, but I did have fun when I played it. I’m sure other people would love it, and I support it if more people want it.

yeah man, even setting aside whether people personally like the game or not. Just the fact that LTTF went to the effort of making a subforum for something, but chose that something to be star citizen ? baffles me.

I could have sworn I have seen thread for it. SC is only one with subforum and I too wonder why it stays as such. Even if LTT has conglomerate or whatever on it. I haven't seen any mention of it in WAN Show. Which imo indicates that there isn't any move towards it that would be noted. Or that Linus and Luke are too busy to be too interested.

There are mega-threads for other games. Skyrim, ES:O, Infinity: Battlescape, Car sims, FSX etc.

Star Citizen is a much more ambitious game.  It's cool you like Elite Dangerous but in terms of what they are trying to achieve they are worlds apart from a tech standpoint.

Not sure, ED is gonna end up being the better game anyway, assuming SC ever finishes and doesn't just shut down when they've spent everyone money

"Brief" history

Linus and Luke both backed it, pushed numbers up to the point of becoming 2nd largest organisation, the forum post was in PC gaming until it got so large that it needed a subforum but people still used the main thread, I created a weekly meet up which is still going but we needed a chat room, we asked we got told no, we created a discord channel and with an increase of the SC subforum trolling and an overall shift of the forums user base growing worse, most people left the LTT forums for discord.

As for Elite..

We have a small group of 20 playing, we have put in for a minor faction which is called LifeTime Technology because Linus Tech Tips isn't lore friendly.
