I currently have a Samsung Gear Live and I love this watch, but it's getting old and I've already had to replace the battery after it stopped charging.  I've found out that it is not scheduled to get the update to Android Wear 2.0/Wear OS, so I'm reluctantly looking at a new watch.  I'm aiming for a Android Wear 2.0 device with a square screen, but there doesn't seem to be many on the market anymore.  I prefer not to get a round screen, especially those with the "flat tire" screens, so I'm trying to see what else is out there.

I've looked at the Zenwatch 2 so far, but even that is starting to look a little old and barely made the cut for Wear 2.0.  What bothers me is the specs on that device are nearly identical to my Gear Live, so I don't understand how it's supposed to be so much better, or why it gets the Wear 2.0 upgrade and mine doesn't.

Are there any other nice looking square Wear 2.0 devices that are still good in 2018?  I like the more sleek looks of the Gear Live and Zenwatch 2, but it seems like the square watch is a dying breed among Android Wear devices.

Zenwatch 3 is not square but it is the best looking smartwatch, then the ticwatch S is the best budget option, and huawei watch 2 is also good.

Sorry, but there isnt any square screens anymore on the smartwatches, but also there isnt any flat tire screens too. Those were only on the moto 360 and 360 2.

I personally have the Ticwatch S and I love it. It does everything I want from it, a charge lasts me about two days (always on display disabled) and it charges in around 45 minutes.

From what I've seen till now there arent many smartwatches with square screens, mostly the budget ones. The only ones that are not from china are either the Zenwatch 2 or the apple watch...

I have the Ticwatch E. It doesn't use a Qualcomm SOC but I've never noticed stutter on anything I've used the watch for, and battery life is more than 24hr with the always-on display, longer if you turn that feature off. So you can charge it in the morning and have enough battery for it to wake you up the next morning.

Like the people above have said, there's no more new "flat tire" screened watches, and square has dropped off on Android watches too. The Apple Watch is probably the only good square wearable.
