Game Sound Issues

So my friend just got a game called the forest, and no audio works in it. It is a horror survival game so it kind of needs sound... He has a razer man of war headset, and it works in all other games. He has reinstalled, checked his audio mixers, changed playback devices, ran in admin mode, switched from surround sound to stereo and vice versa, ran steam in admin, and nothing works. Any tips?
