Hello,

I plan to build a new PC, mainly for light gaming on 1080p & editing.

My budget lies on 1500eur (1850usd) I can't go above it. On this list, I
have 16GB of RAM, but in the future I will expand to 32 or 64 gigs. One of
my main requirements is to keep it quiet because I spend 15 to 16hrs a day
at my desk and I already have a 3D printer which can make a lot of noise. I am
not going to over clock but need the 4.2GHz of the 7700K instead of the 3.6Ghz on
the 7700. That's why I paired the B250 MoBo with the 7700K.

Do you guys think this is a well balanced build?
The peripherals are a bit expensive, but ergonomics are important because i spend a lot of time at my PC.

Also the prices are in euro (just multiply it by 1.22 for USD)

I also plan to add an additional 8TB HDD to my build and maybe a 1TB SSD for projects in progress.

That PSU is tier 3, with that budget Im sure you can get something thats at least tier 2. Also go for a 8700k, it will pay off way more due to its multi-threaded performance. I dont think the SSD is too good either. Last but not least the GPU is a bit of a problem. Youre overpaying a lot on a 1050ti. Sadly this applies to all new GPUs, so if you wanted to go used a 980/980ti would work well.

I would suggest moving to a Coffee Lake cpu. The i5-8400 has just a touch less performance than a stock i7-7700K and is substantially less expensive. At stock the i5-8600K has a touch more performance than a stock i7-7700K. It is also less expensive. The i7-8700 has significantly better performance and should be just a bit more than the i7-7700K.

Using an i5-8400 or i7-8700 has the advantage that they have a TDP of 65W. This means that cooling solutions can run at lower rpm.

Since overclocking is not a goal, consider a good, but less expensive cpu cooler like the Cryorig H7.

Consider getting a 2x8GB memory kit. Pricing is similar and such kits have the advantage of assuring dual channel memory operation. This would leave two free memory slots which could later be populated with another 2x8GB or 2x16GB kit. Unless you are absolutely positive that you will be going to 64GB in short order, I think this would offer a bit more performance in editing.

A Seasonic Focus Gold 450 has more than enough capacity for the build and is better quality. It should also offer quieter operation.

Consider a less expensive quiet case like the Fractal Design Define S.

Is a mouse pad really needed?

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

so,

I've considered your ideas and made a new list which you can find here.

I putted in an coffee-lake i5 and took a cheaper case.
Also I changed PSU to a gold edition but kept it at 650W because I might need more power later on.

The CPU cooler will stay the same because I know the cooler and it simply is the quietest of all.

The plan is to upgrade the RAM in the future to 64 gigs further down the road.

And also I spend some more on a 500gb WD blue SSD.

Will this be OK? Or do you have any recommendations?

Yeah, sweet it is!

But I need 4TB HDD space at least so... and I plan to upgrade to 64GB RAM in the future.
Ad I think the 1080 is a bit overkill for casual 1080p gaming. Another problem is taxes.
In Belgium we pay 21% tax on "luxury product" (which include bread for some reason)
So this makes everything more expensive  :-( . I also need a monitor so I count 300$ for it.
And a thing I forgot is Adobe's freaking expensive software that I need :-(.

I think I will do the following replacements to your build:

-swap the 1080 with a GTX1060 6GB version

-take a 4TB HDD instead of a 2TB one

-swap the 2x8 gigs of RAM with 1 of 16 so I can  upgrade to 64GB
