Case cooling feedback

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

The front and top fans should be intake.

I'm not sure if a 92mm fan would fit in front of the hdd cage. It's best to measure first if you haven't already. My guess is that 80mm's would fit better.

The rear doesn't have any case fan mounts. If you want to mount smaller fans, you might need to do some modding. If that's the case, you should remove the mesh since it's going to obstruct what little airflow you're getting. That being said, it might make more sense just to leave that spot unoccupied.

Hi, I’m looking to modify my case to improve cooling and noise efficiency. Due to its rare trait of having a window on the opposite side to conventional cases I have a Thermaltake core G3.

I have ordered the fans needed to complete the plan shown below and will be making modifications to accommodate them as shown.

I have attached an image of my planned layout.

Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Specs-

GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Quick silver

CPU: AMD FX8350

AIO: Corsair H80i v2

SSD: Samsung 850 Evo pro

HDD: Seagate 3TB

Motherboard: Sabertooth 990FX R2

PSU: Corsair SF600
