Uprade or New PC?

Hi guys im wondering if i should upgrade my pc or upgrade it.

I have a custom built pc.

i will be playing video games and making gaming video videos i will maily fortnite, minecraft, and livestream

I live in Canada BTW.

 

cpu: intel i5 4460 3.20 ghz

 

Gpu: amd r7 370 series

 

ram: 16 gb 1600 mhz ddr 3

 

motherboard: msi H81M-E34 mATX

 

Power supply: Seasonic G-550 Gold 550W ATX 80PLUS Modular 120mm Fan Power Supply PSU

What will you do with it? My first instinct points to a new graphics card, but it's not always the right move.

Then upgrade the GPU. How far you can go depends on the budget.

Ryzen is on par with Intel's 6th gen, if core count is the same. The greater amount of cores in Ryzen will win, especially when it comes to streaming. Ryzen is a lot better than the old FX

For $300 a used gtx 980 is the best you can get, but just in case you cant, the gtx 970 is also good.

 

If you stick with new cards, it's at most a 1060 3gb money, and rarely available.

Yes, but only after you upgrade the graphics card. Ryzen 2 will come in mid April anyway so you should wait for that.

Horribly overpriced. That's 980 Ti money.

 

An R7 370 costs $60 at most. This card is slower than a $70-80 gtx 950 while sucking on more power.
