Just looking for any suggestions with my first build and also curious how to test my build quality by doing tests to make sure it all works how it should.

My specs of my computer are:

Processor: i7 8700k

Motherboard: Asus Prime Z-370A

Memory: 2x8 Corsair Dominator Platinum 2666MHz

Graphics Card: Evga 1070 Ti Sc ACX3.0

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240

Hard Drive: 2TB Seagate Barricude

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO

PSU: ThermalTake Smart Pro RGB 650W 80+ Bronze

Also, my monitor is a ASUS MG28UQ

I was also wondering how to resolve screen tearing if it is possible. I know the 1070 Ti has Gsync and my monitor has AdaptiveSync but I don’t know how I can fix it or if I even can

I would look into a better PSU.

As far as tests, you can run stress tests and benchmarks to get a rough idea on load temps. Programs like Firestrike, Cinebench, Aida64 etc.

But in reality, if you haven't done any tweaking like overclocking/undervolting, and it runs everything fine without anything noticeable (like if your cpu spikes to 95% running MS office or something), then I would say it's fine.

On a fresh built PC though, it is ideal to watch temps. If your temps go abnormally high then you might have an issue with thermal paste, fans, etc.
