I need a lan rig and I have being eyeing out the asrock m8 for quite a while now. I have paired it with a 4130 and a Gigabyte 650 ti boost plus an adata sp900 256gb with a corsair value series 4gb 1333mhz sodimm. The total cost is around 1000€. The m8 alone is 585€ and I think that with a Core 1000 and an matx board the cost xan be brought down significantly. What do you tink I should do go for the convenience or the lower price?

I am a member of the PCMasterRace. I am terribly sad to announce that I own a PeasantStation 3 Super Slim. it's in a drawer away from my glorious PC.

dont buy the M8, its cool 'n all but really expensive and seeing the rig you got for that price, its horrible

also get a smaller SSD for a LAN rig/ no SSD, because if you are at a lan party loading times arent an issue...

go with a bitfenix prodigy because it kinda has carrying handles, a cheapish mobo, and a 3570K, you dont need the newest tech when you go to a LAN party, its nice, but isnt needed

I would downgrade the motherboard, also a better gpu would mean that you can play games at higher settings.

Where are you shopping? Greece? Have any online retailers that we can use? What is your budget in your currency? What color scheme do you want?

I mean, I can make a 1000€ system that will be awesome for lans. But you very likely wouldn't even be able to buy it at all for that price.

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

Build Log: Phantom - Antique Noctua

Looks are subjective. If you want to pay the extra money because you think the looks are worth it, it's up to you.
