Hello, recently I became interested in building my own computer for gaming, homework, and just for fun. I have no background knowledge, except from the YouTube videos I’ve watched. I got recommended to come here for help, and I just have a few questions. I know that prices for Graphic cards have risen since many people need them for mining. Is $700 budget too low for a computer that I want? I just want to play games like fortnite, COD, and probably not much more. I have a monitor but I don’t know how to start, or if $700 is enough. Any help? Appreciated.

Buy the Ryzen 2400G because it has onboard graphics close to GT 1030, get 8GB of 2600+ ram, 500GB 7200rpm I will do up a pcpartspicker for ya

$400

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wKzhq4

which is better then a $250 Hewlett Packard or Dell from Newegg and installing a graphics card.

Okay so um, I screensbotted what you said, and I’m wondering, just how do I start? Do I buy a case? Is it around my budget? My dad said he has an extra monitor at his office for me, so that’s taken care of

Watch more Youtube video's on how to build a pc.

Oh and dont forget about an operating system, legit is $100 usually, but can find them for cheaper from grey market sites like Kinguin or however its spelt. So you are looking at 5 bills which is still a good deal.

By the looks of the the list it has a case but no mouse or keyboard. You might also need to buy a CPU Cooler if it doesn't come with one.

Added info on CPU cooler.

So that’s it? Buy the list, keyboard mouse, cooler, and I’m ready to build? Will I be able to run fortnite? :)

Make sure that the cooler is supported by the CPU (a popular, good and cheap one is the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO) and you should be good to go! Make sure that you know what you're doing building wise and yes, you should be able to run Fortnite. xD

Yes that is my pc, in my signature.

The pcpartspicker is just a suggestion, but you do what you want.

Of course if you need a keyboard, mouse, monitor it will cost more.

So your $700 budget without key/mouse/monitor?

Yes buy that shit, wait for it to come, follow God Linus and your set

Here is a better build

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/szBGfH

or the Krait gaming mobo - top of the line quality mobo's

you may want to throw in a 250GB SSD for speedier boot times and such

REMEMBER - The prices are without an O/S so that cost in retail is $100 or go grey market like Kinguin or however its spelt for $30

Also later on you can buy a GTX-1050ti or 1060 and gloat to the other players in game, as well you could also upgrade to a Ryzen 1600 cpu and smirk at the peasantry 2400G players.

Plus you can overclock later on and gloat even more to everyone.
