Do I need to reapply thermal past after loosening cooler.

Do I have to reapply thermal paste if I loosen the cpu block a bit. Not much just so that it isn't too tight.

You want quite a bit of pressure on the CPU, cooler mounts are usually designed to be at a certain pressure that's specified by intel/amd, so tighten the CPU cooler as much as the user manual says. You shouldn't really loosen things

I tought you should only tighten it as much a you can with you fingers. I used a screwdriver so I'm afraid it's too tight

Well, it should probably be tight enough so that the cooler doesn't move when you lift the mobo with it. So just make sure it doesn't wiggle if it's already in the case.

Some coolers come with screws with springs on them so that you can't over-tighten them too

Mine doesn't have that. Do I have to reapply thermal past if I just loosen them a bit?

Don't loosen them too much, you want good mounting pressure; but if the mobo is bowing you should probably loosen the cooler.

Depends how much you loosen them, or rather if the cold plate actually lifts from the heat spreader, and how old/dry the paste is. Paste is cheap anyway, wouldn't hurt. Also, nearly all setups are designed to where you can't really cause damage from over-tightening unless you really force it with a screwdriver. Moreover, if it's working why mess with it? You gotta stop worrying so much about your PC dude...

btw what cooler are you using?

Corsair h100i v2. And the motherboard isn't visibly bowing. It has been mounted like this for 1,5 years I just want to be on the sure side.

After 1.5yrs I'd apply new paste if I messed with the socket screws at all. Given how worrisome you come across based on your post history, if it works fine, don't mess with it and avoid yourself the stress of applying new paste.
