Need AMD 12.8 Win 7 64 drivers.

Hey all, i was really pissed at my GPU's last night and ranted and raved from the highest mountain with a megafone, so after trying to install 13.12 drivers, it failed to install although i uninstalled 13.11, reset PC, ran driver sweeper, then installed 13.12, after install i am now on 11.5, i can't fucking win.............

 

So, i heard around that Mafia II needs 12.8 drivers to fix the flickering texture issue with Radon cards.

 

This would be fine and dandy if i could download them, i went to GURU 3D, but i can't download them, it sends me to an AMD page telling me the download don't work.

 

I can't find a driver archive for older drivers on the AMD website unlike Nvidia's stellar archive.

 

 

 

Help me before i smash something pls.

Did you uninstall the previous drivers? Orrrr have you restarted yet? Also I'm not sure R9290 is even supported on 12.8 since the card wasn't even out then.

Well it wasn't aimed at the original post more at the 6th post, also the the CCC version isn't important since the earliest drive to support R9290(X) is 13.251 (driver package) so you can install any earlier CCC you'd like it won't change that the card didn't exist back in 2011/12 and as such wasn't supported in that driver version, but please continue to be rude.

Ok, well i took the 290 out, replaced with the 5850 so i could use 12.8 drivers, i managed to get them to install with a lot of hassle, but i think it may have been worth it, managed to fix the flicker issue.

 

here is my FPS result on the 5850.
