Upgrading my old Intel i3 530

Hey guys i am new here on Linus tech tips forums so forgive me for my bad English.

I am wandering to upgrade my old system since the last of 2016(day i subscribed Linus channel)because of lots of confusions about GPU and CPU i didn't yet upgraded my potato rig.

My budget is around Indian 25000 rs roughly 384 $.So help me to do it under my budget cause i am college student and want a pc for 720p gaming like GTA v games.

My current potato system specs :

Intel i3 530 2.9ghz

4GB DDR3 1333mhz Ram

450WATT power supply.

A dell 720P Monitor

No GPU(didn't got because no idea about budget card)

1tb segate hard drive

see if a ryzen 2200G+B350 board, 1050ti and 8gb of ram fits in your budget. i'd upgrade to a 1080p monitor if possible too.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

you don't need an expensive board, a cheap B350 board will work just as well. the ryzen 1200 will work too if the 2200G is more expensive than the 1200.

Or pick up a used i7  950 and a 1050 GPU and have a well performing 1080p gaming rig at low to medium setting.

I think some people are very quick to tell people to upgrade everything, if your short on cash CPU upgrade is a great option.

the i3 530 and i7 950 use completely different sockets.

Any Bloomfield 1366 CPU will fit  i5 or i7 depends what you can find locally.

and there are no i5s on LGA 1366.

first off buy an i7 860, get yourself 2x8gb DDR3 sticks 1333/1600, and either an RX 460/560 or GTX 1050 depending on local prices, and your good to go.

Umm Don't you think the CPU itself will cost higher than my whole budget thing.

A 2400G without the 1050 Ti would be better IMO. The iGPU is comparable to a 750 Ti, and that can still do a decent job.  Obviously not a permanent solution, but he can watch for bargains.

It's one of the new Ryzen APU's. It's a CPU with an integrated GPU that doesn't suck. It could easily pull off 720p gaming.

The GT 1030 is an absolute piece of shit. Not because of performance, but because of price to performance. It's a weaker version of the GTX 750. Get a Ryzen 2400G and you'll have better performance than that combo.

He'll be much better off spending the extra money on a 2400G. Getting 2133MHz RAM is an easy sacrifice to help with the cost.

Yes bro here price are freaking high i don't know why i think due to import export and gst charges .Its sad because a good ddr4 will cost around 7k(110$).What about Pentium g4560? and a 750 ti or with my current system will the 705 ti would be a good choice?
