1500-2000$ gaming rig

i an looking into building a gaming desktop for around 1500$ with a threadripper 1900x, a gtx 1070 ti, and around 16 gb of ram, is that a good combo for dual monitor gaming on windows? i am not reusing anything and aestethics dont matter too much.

Why do you want a 1900x though? for gaming the 8700k would seem a better option if youre sling that kinda cash.

You don't need a 1900x. It's honestly kind of a waste if you're just gaming.

As @AMD: With Sheggz said, the 8700k would be a much better choice. $1,500 is kind of a tight budget though, I'd probably go with an i5 8600k instead.

Yeah. don't go buying unneeded power consuming elements that you won't fully utilize. a regular 1070 instead of a 1070 ti might help and since aesthetics don't matter you you can grab a 30 dollar case with good cooling.

it will, though i'd get a 1080ti for double 1440p 14hz monitors. they're fine.

Haha, I wouldn't really agree with that case comment There is a lower budget amount people should shoot for where case design and build quality is a lot better. $60 cases like the P300 are as low as I'd go; cheaper ones just sacrifice too much.

Well yeah.. the case you don't wanna get too cheap but considering no aesthetics they shouldn't be looking to spend too much.

The P300, P400TG, S340 are all good choices.
