Headset static problem

I recently bought the g230 headset a month ago and about a week ago when I would start up some programs and games, i would get a very load static sound in my right ear for a second before it would go away. And then in the middle of the games, there would be this static noise that would change pitch after it would play for a few seconds, and this would go on for about a minute before I could hear everything again, but my mic would stop working. Is there a fix to this?
