Straight to topic. Ive tried installing windows on my pc with 2 diffrent usb (i dont have cdrom) with windows 7 iso installs downloaded from microsoft. I get stuck at setup is starting when installing 3+ hours. Repairing my existing os also never starts.(bsod 0x0...ed unmoutable volume.) Opening cmd and trying to fix partition with diskpart doesnt work either(when launching diskpart in cmd diskpart just freezes and i cant type)

Whats the problem? :/

Edit: Setup only launches when bios set to achi, with ide doesnt work (blackscreen).

what hardware?

If your getting a bsod you probably have bad hardware.

MB: Asrock 990FX E3

Cpu: FX8350

Ram: 10gb

unplug all other drives, then delete all partition with disk part clean if you ahven't already.

Also try a linux distro, im guessing bad hardware.

1try with only ssd: booted usb win setup. After windows starting and loading files black screen with only cursor.

2try with one of the hdds: intall starts fine. I can type in diskpart too. Is my ssd dead? Its not even 1y old.

Not necessarily. It could just be a bad sata data cable. Try switching it to a different one, but it could be a dead drive.

If any hardware is the problem, it's a drive given that unmoutable volume BSOD.

The only thing that error could point to is a drive.

Could be worse.

Could be a dead GPU right ;)

Also are u sure its the error bsod is only caused from the ssd.

Definitely something to do with one of your drives.

What else could an unmountable volume mean right?

Here's a guide on this error anyways:

This one seems to cover when it happens during a windows install so it's a good shot.

The only other thing I can think of would be maybe if the USB flash drive you're using to install windows is corrupt or there's something wrong with your USBs or their bios settings..

That's the only other thing I can think of that'd have to do with a bad volume.

you said you tried 2 different ones though so that's unlikely.
