Random thought, My computer is acting funny and can get laggy at times which I'm starting to think is because I haven't done a fresh install in two years.  I typically do one every year.  Also I have recently started demanding more from my machine, IE crypto and remote desktop.

Have you checked temps?

edit: try out ccleaner and make sure your computer has a clean registry and turn off what ever start up programs you don't want.  edit again: cancel that, ccleaner just installed bloatware/malware on my computer.  Guess that program is dead

Audio go Brrrrrr

Temps are fine, I have disabled all non Microsoft programs on startup.
