so i need a new gaming headset as i managed to destroy my old ones :(

Im looking for something around £100-250, comfortable, with EXTREMELY heavy bass, amplified high volume but low distortion, and sound quality that is above the average headset as i will be using it for music as much as gaming if not more. so i know I'm being a bit picky but if you guys can help me it would be much appreciated :)

The idea of 'extremely heavy' bass is nice, but any headphones with that feature will suffer from poor mids and highs, and this will really take away from you music listening experience. I suggest you look at the 80ohm Beyerdynamic DT770's and spend the rest on a soundcard and mic if you're after some decent sound quality that's on the bassier side. You will appreciate sound quality far more when it's delivered by something that's more capable, unlike a gaming headset. For under £250 you can get the Beyerdynamics, an Asus Xonar DX soundcard and a Zalman clip mic or desktop mic.

sony xb700 and a microphone is about all I'd recommend for your requirements.

Will work for electronic components and parts

I spent about 15min listening to these in a Sony store once. They were hardly impressive, but they certainly deliver the bass. You would save a fair bit getting these, but sacrifice a lot of sound quality.

I'm sorry, every time I read your posts and see your avatar it's automatically reading out in my brain as an immature child's scream.

EDIT: Ok, MUCH better
