I have a Asus Maximus Code X Z370 board and way too many fans to fit in my new build, so I need some kind of fan hub.

Was thinking the obvious choice could be the Asus Fan Extension card, but its impossible to find around here and I cant wait 3-5 weeks to get one home directly from Asus.

Basically all it needs to do is to control at least 3 more PWM fans, other features are just nice to have.

Im looking at the NZXT Grid+ v3 that looks pretty fancy but I have never been a big fan of CAM.

The Corsair Commander Pro, looks very interesting because of its expansion options but its a bit pricey.

I already have this one from Swiftech I used to use that have no fancy features

What can you recommend and why?

The swiftech one is great. I have used mine for about 8 years now with no issues as it came to me with the H220 I use to use for water cooling and now I use it to control my case fans in my current build with 3 ML 140 Pro fans on it and have no issues with it what so ever.

This is the one I looked into getting but decided to get the corsair pro since I use their RGB fans.

that one looks pretty good, i like that it has a capacitor to keep power in check, the swiftech don't, its more basic.

but its a rather old part it looks like and nowhere to be found here

I recommend this one. I have used it and it's great. I used all of the fan ports on it for a PC I built about four monthes ago. I can control all of the fans with ease in the BIOS.

Do you want individual control or is it OK to group fans? Splitters and using mobo would be optimal solution. While you will be restricted to single control signal per header, having for example one rad controlled from one header could still be just what you are looking for. Rather than having 8 fans all following individual curves.

I have thought about it and I think I would be very ok with multiple fans controlled by CPU temp, so I think my Swiftech splitter would be the cheapest and best solution for now (as I already have it and the Asus I want is impossible to get)
