PayPal question

QuestionxThree

so I was scammed for $15 via PayPal, paid for something and perosn blocked me after payment. So I said on PayPal that I didn’t authorize the payment so they would refund it. This was on the 28th of February. Yesterday I get an email from PayPal saying they approved my claim and would refund the $15 to my paypal.

today I looked on PayPal and I see a thing under the history that says withdrawal from partner for $15. When I click on it It says this under the details

added funds from a PayPal

March 6th (when I got the email saying my money was refunded)

Status complete

Type: bonus transaction

i have no $15 in my PayPal and it wasn’t added to my bank. Any idea what that means?

This doesn’t help or answer my question. If you don’t know the answer then no need to comment. If you do then just post it.

the next step is making a new case that I’ll have to wait a week on. And by then I won’t even care about the $15

Ok, how about this. Why are you asking the forum, when you can get the exact answer by contacting Paypal customer support?

That's what it's there for. If you haven't contacted them yet, then asking here is pointless. They have customer support for a reason.

We don't know why the money hasn't shown up. They will.

When you get an action in your favor, they even say "if you don't see the money deposited, contact us."

They tend to be a bit behind with things and their customer service is all but nonexistent. As a long time user I can say that that they pretty much ignore their customers and it takes a week of Sundays just to get anything done when sorting an issue.. To be honest, the couple times I had to correct an issue they were completely useless on the issues and had no idea what to do and it's why it takes so long to get anything resolved. They have jockeys that spoon feed kiss ass but they can not resolve anything and it's always a review process that takes weeks..

They just try to get folks to just give up and forget about it seems.. But in reality, they have things set up so they can put off correcting anything in a timely manner. Try using them with eBay and have an issue, all they do is kick the can back and forth, claiming it's the other guys problem, while you wait the arbitrary two weeks for the "paperwork" to catch up.

I just dumped eBay over their dubious practices and PayPal is not far behind..

If PayPal sent you an email saying they refunded you, you have to wait 3 to 5 days. Sometimes it can take up to 10 days for refunds.

Normally it takes about 5 to 7 working days for the bank to handle the funds, it's not PayPal's problem anymore.
