If you're looking for feedback minus the noise, then Cherry MX Browns or Logitech's Romer G switches are probably for you. However, you may still need O-rings for the keys on Cherry MX boards since the sound of the key cap bottoming out is still rather audible

So there are 3 different types of keys, and 2 different forces for each one (without getting too deep in to it)

There is linear - these have no bump, just smooth all the way down. These are the MX Red (light) and black (heavy)

There is tactile - these have a bump so you feel them actuate, but no loud click. These are the MX Brown (light) and clear (heavy)

And there is clicky - these have a bump and a click. I like these the most but they make a lot of noise. These are the MX blue (light) and the MX Green (heavy)

It sounds like you'd like reds or browns

My Build:

CPU: Xeon E5-2680v2 @ ~4 GHz RAM: 32 GB DDR3 (blck overclocking messes with the speed) GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 SC @ ~2015 MHz STORAGE: A few 120 GB SSDs, a few 1 TB HDDs, and an 8 TB WD Red COOLER: H110i V2 CASE: Hacked up NZXT Source 220

IME at least half of the noise comes from your fingers slapping the keys, not necessarily the key hitting the bottom. Also, the point of tactile keys is supposed to be so you don't have to bottom out the key while typing, so everyone should at least try to take advantage of the feature they're paying for.

Any noise that's reduced is noise reduced. I noticed an appreciably less annoying clacking when I added O-rings to my K70.

Also I'm still going to bottom out my keys regardless of tactile feedback or not. The point of tactile feedback is to give some peace of mind that the switch actually actuated, not because I want to only press the switch just enough to actuate it. If I wanted that, I'd get a linear switch for smoother actuation rather than needing to overcome a hump.
