I originally ordered a cablemod extension kit with 2(quantity) 6 pin cables. Then I realized that my graphics card requires an 8 so I order an 8 from their store. But, the keying of the cable is very weird and it wont plug into the graphics card but the other end plugs into a cable that cable does plug into the graphics card. Also, the cable doesn't plug into itself and yes the orientation is correct.  Just look at the picture and tell me im not crazy.

Before anyone asks this was a 8 pin pcie cable I ordered 100 percent not a 8 pin eps.

Also the arrows show the orientation of the house like figures.

And also on the left side there are 4 squares and 4 houses. The right has 5 houses and 3 squares.

Maybe just an accidental mistake on their part when fulfilling the order and sent you an EPS cable?

Did you contact their support? If they don't match its just not gonna plug in and you'll need a new cable.

The connector on the left is an 8 pin female EPS connector. The one on the right is a male PCIe connector.

The keying for PCIe is as follows (with the latch on top)

round, round, square, square

square, round, round, round

The keying for 8 pin EPS is:

round, square, square, round

square, round, round, square

It may well be a mistake of putting an EPS connector on the end rather than PCIe.

Thanks guys I will contact support. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy or did something wrong. They did recently upgrade their factory so something might have went wrong.

Regardless of if you ordered an EPS extension, or a PCIE extension, if the cable does not plug into itself then clearly it is not an extension and there is a problem.

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

Don't forget to tag or quote in your reply if you want me to know you've answered or have another question.
