Hi, I am looking to upgrade my pc and first I tought of buying a video card, but when I saw the prices, I chose to wait till the prices finally go down(f*** you miners). So I was looking for a gaming CPU. I found that the intel core i5-8400 is the best. The problem is that I don't know what is the best processor for gaming NOW. It would be great if someone helps me out.

What's your current PC and Monitor resolution/refresh rate?

Then what's your budget/country and what do you need the PC for?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

So, my current pc is for gaming and I know that maybe I will need a new motherboard. My monitor's refresh rate is 60hz, but in the future I will be changing it. I am from Bulgariq and I need the pc again for gaming.

What's the hardware in the PC? I'll assume the monitor is 1080p 60hz.

If you have no budget limitations get a good PSU, a good cooler, a decent oc motherboard and a 8700k, that's going to give you the best perfomance in games
