I need a little help from someone who is using Win 10.

Today I was forced to buy and install Win 10 because apparently Win 7 is not supported by Ryzen chipset. (Did a lot of troubleshooting but wasn't able to install win 7)

I have everything up and running but I would like make some changes.

1st - Get rid of Windows Defender and all the unnecessary apps that aren't required.

2nd - Change Start Menu back to "Windows 7" like. Right now it has this Windows Phone vibe which gives me Lumia flashbacks.

3rd - Any miscellaneous things/adjustments that have to be done in order to run Win 10 without any worries.

Thanks.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

Step1: Buy a intel CPU

Step2: Buy a compatible motherboard

Step3: Install Windows 7

:P

Seriosly though, i do beleve once u have a OS installed (W10) (or use a different computer) u can find and download updated chipset drivers to allow W7 to be installed.

1. I would suggest you least try giving the Windows 10 'look' a try IMO it is better than Windows 7.

2. Why would you want to disable windows defender? It automatically disables itself if you have another antivirus provider and TBH it is a pretty good security soloution - gets the job done.
