Need help with memory compatibilty

Hey everyone. This is my first post here, so bare with me. I am looking to get the Asus Prime B350M-E since it isn't too costly and sufficient for what I need. I am trying to figure out why the memory support list states that it supports 36GB of Kingston Hyper-X Predator DDR4-3000 RAM (That is a set of 4 8GB RAM sticks), but it doesn't list that it supports just 8GB of the same memory (single 8GB stick).

 

Can someone please tell as to whether or not it'll be a problem if I just install a single 8GB stick of the same memory.

 

P.S. I do plan to get 16GB, but RAM is just too expensive at the moment.
